About Oyster Ministries 

Johann and Annalena have a passion for the needs of their country, South Africa, as well as countries where the gospel is less available.

In 1998 Johann founded the interdenominational mission’s organisation, Kingfisher Mobilising Centre and they currently minister from the town of Paarl in the Western Cape, South Africa.

Johann studied theology at Stellenbosch University and the University of the Orange Free State. He has been in ministry as a pastor at various congregations since 1984. He also served as CEO of a Community Development Organisation in Paarl.

Annalena studied Education at the University of Stellenbosch. She has been writing about the spiritual formation of children since 1994. Currently her interest is guiding adults in the same field – through workshops and on a one-on-one basis.

Their international ministry focuses mainly on the former Russian Federation Countries and Eastern Europe where they spend 4 months per year.
